For movement leaders

Leaders go first. Then your whole church.

For churches of any size: here is how a launch runs, with no cost to those you lead.

The model on one line

The whole journey starts with you.

  1. MAKE

    You

    Everyday, everywhere, everybody. Text MAKE.

  2. The Two

Step 1: invite a fellow believer.

  3. The Who

Step 28: invite someone not yet following Jesus.

  4. The Journey

    24 steps in John together.

  5. Mobilize

    Step 52: their own line.

Mobilization causes multiplication.

The launch, in three phases

The launch teaches the model Jesus used: Time, Teaching, and Tactics.

TimeTeachingTactics
  1. 10weeks

Your leadership team goes through the book, a week at a time.

  2. 4weeks

Your pastor teaches Introduction, Time, Teaching, Tactics.

  3. 8weeks

The whole church runs the 52 steps.

More about the launch

Your leadership team goes through the book together, a chapter at a time, week by week; you decide who is on that team. Each leader finds their own Two, the fellow believer they train with. You can't hand out what you haven't done yourself.

Four weeks of teaching cast vision and gather the church into groups. Manuscripts and slides come in the church kit.

One text at a time. Each week's teaching carries what the steps teach; mid-week groups work through what happened. It ends with baptisms and a party. Anyone who came to faith gets their own Two and starts Step 1, rather than swelling the group they came from.

After the intensive it doesn't stop. It becomes how your church makes disciples.

Mid-week groups use the 3/3rds format

  1. Look Back

    How did the week go?

  2. Look Up

    Aha Moments, then two questions.

  3. Look Ahead

Practice next week. Pray for each Who.

More about groups

No new teaching in groups. Sunday taught; the audio taught. The group looks at what happened. The group leader's job is to be present and keep it moving, not to be a Bible expert.

Look Back asks which Microsteps got done, and where people got stuck. Look Up is the Aha Moments, and two questions about what everyone read: "What does this say about God?" and "What does this say about Man?" Look Ahead is what's coming next week. Practice the next step (the 3-minute story, say) and pray for each Who, the person the pair is praying into faith.

No cost to those you lead

The 52 steps, the text and the app are free for everyone, forever, paid for by donors. The only thing that costs is the printed book and journal, an optional deeper resource; no one you lead has to buy anything to take the journey.
